Intercontinental Opens Beachfront Resort in Panama

The InterContinental Playa Bonita Resort & Spa in Panama officially opened today. The resort is situated on 20 acres of rainforest, located 20 minutes outside Panama City near the western entrance of the Panama Canal. With the new opening, InterContinental now offers visitors a trio of distinctly different Panama resorts: The Intercontinental Miramar Hotel located in the midst of Panama City; Gamboa Rainforest resort, the country's premiere rainforest hotel; and Playa Bonita, which offers accommodations on one of the best beaches in the country. Playa Bonita features include Bonita Del Mar, a 10,000 sq ft holistic spa, four free-form swimming pools, three restaurants, and 12,500 feet of meeting space. Playa Bonita's 300 guestrooms all have ocean views and offer luxury bedding, rich wood furnishings, air conditioning, and cable television and wireless Internet access. To commemorate the grand opening, the InterContinental Playa Bonita Resort & Spa is offering a special promotional rate of $195 per room, per night, good for stays through July 31.
