International Ski Operators Form Triumvirate

Big news for ski junkies: Three international ski giants joined forces this week, inking a deal that has created one of the largest ski tour operators in the world. This joint venture is part of an initiative to increase Latin American skier visits in the U.S. and Europe.

Ski.com, SKI Brasil and Viajes Holam, operators from the U.S., Brazil and Mexico respectively, formed a new relationship allowing both Viajes Holam and SKI Brasil to use Ski.com's reservation system and online technology. SKI Brasil and Viajes Holam will have access to Ski.com's inventory of lift tickets, hotels, condos, private homes, flights ground transfers, rental cars, rental equipment and more.

"Latin America represents one of the biggest opportunities for the ski segment of the travel industry in the United States, Canada and Europe," Henry Peisach, Ski.com president and CEO said in a statement. "By partnering with SKI Brasil and Viajes Holam, we open our distribution to a huge audience of highly qualified potential skiers and snowboarders who will generally stay for several days longer on average than their American counterparts."
