This fall, Nevada is giving new meaning to "hands-on learning." Pink Jeep Tours, The Public Education Foundation, and the Clark County School District (CCSD) Community Partnership Program are providing all fourth grade CCSD students with an opportunity to personally explore Nevada's Valley of Fire with Pink Jeep Tours.

This program, dubbed ROCK ON (Reinforcing Our Children's Knowledge of Nevada), will take place every year. Each class will create a research-based lesson plan in the form of PowerPoint, Web-Quest, iMovie, game format, Reader's Theater, etc. and a winner will be chosen to receive a professionally guided complimentary Valley of Fire tour for the winning classroom.

Only one nomination per classroom will be expected. Entries for the first competition are due by October 15.
