Jade Mountain, St. Lucia

It’s tough to pick the most romantic destination in the Caribbean, but St. Lucia’s Jade Mountain is certainly in the running. And now the luxury property has just been welcomed into the exclusive Virtuoso fold.

Travel Agent met with co-owner Karolin Troubetzkoy, who also owns sister property Anse Chastanet, and she told us that Jade Mountain has been able to do an excellent job of promoting both itself and the destination at the same time. As it overlooks the iconic Piton Mountains, pictures of the property in any magazine not only show off the luxurious AAA Five Diamond accommodations but also do wonders for marketing St. Lucia. (Another PR bonus: The resort’s Celestial Terrace hosted "The Bachelor" when he made his televised proposal.)

“The prime minister of St. Lucia paid a visit and presented us with a plaque acknowledging our work for St. Lucia tourism,” says Troubetzkoy.

Jade Mountain has 29 suites, 24 of which have private pools. Five have Jacuzzis. The smallest room category measures an expansive 1,650 square feet. With open-air views of the water, dining and even diving instructions offered in-room, guests find it hard to leave. “The record for longest time inside a room for a guest is five days,” says Troubetzkoy jokingly.
