Jay Rubenstein Named Director of Sales & Hotel Manager at Royal Kona Resort

Here's a name to remember when sending your clients to Hawaii's Big Island: Jay Rubenstein, a 25-year hospitality industry veteran in Hawaii, has been appointed to a dual role as director of sales and hotel manager at the Royal Kona Resort.

Rubenstein has been with the resort since 2009 as director of sales, and, in his new role, will lead the property’s sales and executive team efforts, as well as overseeing day-to-day operations of the resort under the direction of General Manager Lalo Fernandez.
Prior to joining the Royal Kona Resort, Rubenstein was with Starwood Hotels & Resorts for some 15 years in varying capacities at properties on Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and the Big Island. Earlier, he was general manager of the Regency Hualalai Retirement Community.
