JetBlue Launches New Service From JFK to La Romana, Dominican Republic

JetBlue Airways officially inaugurated its new Wednesday and Saturday service from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York to La Romana on Wednesday.

It’s the fifth destination in the Dominican Republic for JetBlue. The new inaugural flight lifted off from JFK in its roomy Airbus A320 aircraft at 8 a.m. and was scheduled to land at the La Romana/Casa de Campo International Airport at 12:55 p.m. The return flight is scheduled to depart at 2:30 p.m., arriving at JFK at 5:33 p.m.
“This is a historic day,” said Claudio Silvestri, president and CEO of Premier Resorts & Hotels, the management company for Casa de Campo. “Many of our villa owners and hotel guests reside in the New York/Northeast region of the United States and the convenience of this new JetBlue flight is being received with great excitement not only by all of Casa de Campo but also by our travel partners.”
The New York departure is ideal for travelers not only in the NY/northeast region, but also for Casa de Campo guests connecting from other parts of the U.S. as well as Canada and Europe
