Joie de Vivre Hotels Introduces Shoreline Hotel Waikiki

WaikikiJoie de Vivre Hotels introduces its second property in Hawaii, the Shoreline Hotel Waikiki. With close proximity to Waikiki Beach and Honolulu’s shopping and dining district, the new hotel marks the company's ongoing expansion outside of California. Formerly known as the Seaside Hotel Waikiki, the 135-room property will be re-launched as Shoreline Hotel Waikiki after major renovations are completed this April.

Renovations are being led by designer Anthony Laurino who is using 1970s architecture and modernism as his inspiration. From the Shoreline’s open-air lobby and on, the spirit of Hawaii is present in the ‘70s shapes and the natural forms of local flora and fauna throughout the property. The Art Deco-inspired palette uses natural tones and materials with accents of sea foam and tangerine. Other refurbishments include custom furnishing by Eric Brand and nature photography done by local artist Michele McCarthy. All guestrooms will feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen televisions, mini fridges, microwaves and private balconies with skyline views. The hotel’s top floors include four suites, which overlook the sea and city.

Rates at the Shoreline Hotel Waikiki start at $195. During the opening, there will be a special introductory rate of $159. To kick off the launch of Shoreline, Joie de Vivre is offering the Sea or Sky Daredevil package. With rates from $679, the package includes deluxe accommodations, a sky diving or shark diving adventure for two, branded T-shirts or beach towels that read: “I survived Shoreline’s skydive or shark dive,” and aloe sunblock.
