Kapalua Resort will unveil its new 30,000-square-foot spa facility overlooking Kapalua Bay on Maui's northwest shore on June 20.
The sizable facility features 19 treatment rooms (including 10 outdoor bungalows), an infinity pool, dual treatment space for couples, a full service salon and fitness center with a Kinesis Circuit Training System.
The spa will offer unique treatments incorporating the healing properties of the sea and featuring local and natural treatment products.
“Kapalua Spa embraces the healing properties of the ocean and our beautiful natural surroundings. Walking into the spa is like entering an elegant, open air beach house— everything from the tropical wood and sea glass interiors to the expansive views and personalized amenities— the beauty of the ocean and its calming properties are seen in details big and small,” said Spa Director Crystal Poe-Cabatbat.
Just one example of Kapalua's signature ocean-inspired treatments is the Awa and Cacao Lomi Wrap. This 80-minute skin treatment features a lomi lomi technique to gently exfoliate the skin with a unique blend of Hawaiian ‘awa, cacao, ginger, sandalwood and oats – all made with local and natural ingredients to aid in cleansing impurities from the body.
