Key Tours Expands Italy Program


Key Tours is offering discounts on a number of programs if they are booked and paid for by February 29. Included are $300 discounts for select itineraries to Italy, the Greek Islands and Turkey.

Meanwhile, the tour operator says that it has increased the number of custom-tailored itineraries to Italy for 2008/09.

Four new programs include “Memorable Rome,” “Italian Romance,” which visits Florence, Tuscany, Venice and Verona; “Tastes of Italy,” which visits small villages and vineyards starting in Rome and ending in Florence and “Gourmet Italy,” which starts in Bologna, then visits Parma, Modena and Perugia.

The company says that due to increased demand, it has also increased the capacity for its “Taste of” tour series, including those that visit the Amalfi Coast, Florence, Rome and Venice and Sicily, which can be used as add-ons to cruise itineraries.

Lastly, the Key Tours “Villa and Farm House” program has been expanded in Umbria, Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast. Prices start at $805 per villa for a one-week rental.

To celebrate 16 years in business, the company is paying agents 16 percent commission on the new deluxe programs, commissions on other packages are up to 15 percent. Besides Italy, Key Tours, the European Travel Experts provides tailor-made packages to the U.K., France, Croatia, Spain and Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Jordan and Central Europe for individuals, families and groups.
