KLM Royal Dutch Airlines began operating service three times a week to Denpasar, Bali, on December 6. The flights reportedly have already proven popular.
“We have therefore decided to raise frequency to four weekly flights as of mid-January,” said KLM President and CEO Peter Hartman.
Bali is a popular destination among Dutch vacationers. In October, KLM announced that it would resume direct services to Bali. In less than two months, more than 17,000 seats were booked.
KLM has operated services to Indonesia for the past 80 years. With the addition of Denpasar to its network, KLM now serves six destinations in Southeast Asia. Denpasar is KLM’s 61st long-haul destination.
