Tapestry Resorts, a hospitality management company and division of ResortCom International, has named Lauren Teranishi as the general manager for Kona Reef Resort in Kona, Hawaii. Tapestry Resorts operates all resort services for the property.
Teranishi establishes and oversees every aspect of the resort and its facilities on a day to day basis. She supervises the activities of all department heads and their staff, as well as assisting guests. Teranishi is also responsible for achieving growth goals and objectives, revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction and employee development. Kona Reef has condominiums located at water's edge in Kailua-Kona.
Teranishi comes to the resort from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where she served as branch rental manager for five years. While at the company, she opened a new airport rental branch location; created financial statement action plans; and posted positive operating profit for three, six and 12 months. Teranishi also analyzed market trends, rate structures and competitive pricing for the company. She previously worked in the marketing department at Pyramid Insurance Centre, Ltd. in Honolulu.
A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with a degree in business marketing, Teranishi is also currently a member of the American Marketing Association.
