Korea Officials Deem Country Safe

The Korea Tourism Organization is reporting that Korea remains safe and stable, following the November 23 sudden artillery attack on Yeonpyeongdo.

A joint statement was issued by Lee Charm, CEO of the Korea Tourism Organization, along with CEOs of the Regional Tourism Organizations, saying, "the Korean government has responded promptly, taking swift action and appropriate measures to resolve the situation, as the entire country remains calm and stable."

Facilities and airlines are operating on normal schedules and the safety of both visitors and residents is ensured.
