KT Tunstall, Cameron Rafati to Perform at Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in May

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas continues to welcome touring artists at its casino-floor performance venuus, Book & Stage and Bond, with artist residencies through May. All performances are open to the public.
Book & Stage, a daytime live sports viewing lounge and evening music lounge will host the following acts:

Cameron Rafati (Sunday, May 1 – Wednesday, May 4, from 10-11 p.m. and from Midnight to 1 a.m.)
Cameron Rafati’s towering stage performance and powerful lyrics have quickly earned him industry leader recognition from LA’s own KCRW to the newest Unsigned Artist feature on MTV. Recently, upon releasing his inspiring “XOX” album to critical praise, he performed at the ASCAP Music Café at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival as he continuously shapes into one of fastest growing stars in the music world.

Nicole Atkins (Thursday, May 5 – Sunday, May 8, from 10-11 p.m. and from Midnight to 1 a.m.)
Nicole Atkins, a Brooklyn-based songstress ,began playing the guitar and writing songs at age 13. She spent her younger years listening to classic artists such as Traffic and Pink Floyd instead of the bubblegum pop that was popular amongst her peers. Her new album, Mondo Amore, is a darker, grittier album with a bluesy, psychedelic sound that still showcases the stunning range and richness of tone that Nicole’s voice is known for.

A Silent Film (Monday, May 9 – Thursday, May 12, from 10-11 p.m. and from Midnight to 1 a.m.)
A Silent Film, a four-piece band from Oxford, England, have established themselves as one of the most exciting live acts in the UK today.

KT Tunstall (Friday, May 13 – Saturday, May 14, from 10:30 p.m. to Midnight)
KT Tunstall’s 2006 debut album, “Eye To The Telescope,” spawned three hit singles—the Grammy-nominated “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,” “Suddenly I See,” and “Other Side of the World

Most Thieves (Sunday, May 15 – Tuesday, May 17, from 10-11 p.m. and from Midnight to 1 a.m.)
Most Thieves is a band known for their soaring, powerful, masterful songs delivered with dense lyrical concepts and passion of heart.

The Whigs (Wednesday, May 18 – Saturday, May 21 from 10-11 p.m. and from Midnight to 1 a.m.)
This Athens, GA-based rock trio recently released their third album, “In The Dark.”
Terraplane Sun (Sunday, May 22 – Wednesday, May 25, from 10-11 p.m. and from Midnight to 1 a.m)
Terraplane Sun is an energetic bluesy rock group based out of Venice, CA.

Electric Six (Thursday, May 26 – Sunday, May 29, from 10-11 p.m. and from Midnight to 1 a.m)
Electric Six is a six-piece Detroit-based rock band that fuses rock and punk with the laid-back funky rhythms and falsetto vocals of disco.

Harlan (Monday, May 30 – Tuesday, May 31, from 10-11 p.m. and from Midnight to 1 a.m)
Harlan was born in New York City and trained in classical music by the age of 4. At age 6, he moved to Los Angeles with his mother and father, a musical composer and conductor. Harlan attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where he majored in music production and engineering. After realizing that he was spending more time working on music for himself than the classroom, he dropped out and headed back to LA. Harlan writes, produces and plays all the instruments on his recordings.

Bond, a lounge, will feature DJs such as Mikey Beats, 19Sixty and DJ Vito G throughout the month of May.
