On Land in Los Cabos in 2014

Los Cabos' location is one of its most attractive and defining features: craggy shores jut out into the Pacific Ocean, where travelers can boat around rugged cliffs, catch glimpses of whales, snorkel, dive and surf. But in addition to the destination's maritime activities, Los Cabos is home to some equally exciting land opportunities. If your clients are landlubbers looking for action in Los Cabos, here is what the destination has to offer in 2014.

Baja Outback

Adventure travelers looking for something different can go on an all-day or multi-day hummer tour through the desert, mountains and other off-road locations in Cabo. Baja Outback also offers hiking to waterfalls and canyons, visits to remote villages, and tours of the famous surfer hotspot, Todos Santos.

Costa Azul Ziplines Eco-Adventures
At the Costa Azul canyon, travelers can take part in a cable ride high above the canyon. Start from a platform at over 300 feet in the air and zip 50 miles per hour across several miles of cables.

High Tide Los Cabos
Explore the back roads of the Southern Baja and take in views of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains while driving a 4x4 Jeep. The drive runs parallel with the coast and leads you to one of the oldest missions in Cabo. Discover the town of Santiago, then stop at Fox Canyon to see the waterfalls where you can take a dip and enjoy lunch.

Cuadra San Francisco Equestrian Center
This horse facility accommodates riders of all levels of experience just outside Cabo San Lucas.

Carisuva In Touch with Nature
For those who enjoy the outdoors, this tour is tops. Travelers will drive a side-by-side Honda off road vehicle through ranches, creeks and rocky terrain.

Wild Canyon
Wild Canyon is home to 10 zip lines, including the longest in the Baja at 2,600 feet at 55 miles per hours; as well as the Big Plunge, a high bungee jump and the SlingSwingers pendulum swing at 300 feet high. You can also experience the Camel Quest -  a camel ride in Los Cabos where you can interact with the camels, feed them and have a photo taken. Also enjoy an ATV tour with the Off Road Runners.

Where to Stay

Los Cabos currently has 12,000 hotel rooms, with the majority located in Cabo San Lucas. This year, two new hotels opened in the destination, including El Ganzo and Hotel Hyatt Place. Looking ahead, the destination is readying to welcome Secrets Puerto Los Cabos; a Ritz-Carlton Reserve; and the JW Marriott Los Cabos, which will open in 2015. Golfers can look forward to the opening of Quivira Los Cabos, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at the Quivira residential development in Los Cabos; and El Cardonal at Diamante, designed by Tiger Woods.
