Langham Hotels International has appointed Duncan Palmer to the position of managing director of The Langham, Hong Kong. In addition to this capacity, Palmer will also assume the role of vice president of design – The Langham Brand for LHI. In his role of vice president of design, Palmer will oversee the planning and interior design of all major refurbishments of existing and new properties under The Langham brand.
Prior to this move to Hong Kong, Palmer served as managing director of The Langham, London. He orchestrated the hotel’s rebranding campaign in 2004. Over the past five years, Palmer also spearheaded the completion of a $117 million refurbishment of the hotel, including a redesign of the lobby, Palm Court, guest rooms, Artesian Bar and The Landau restaurant.
