Las Vegas Roundup: Memorial Day Weekend

Las VegasMemorial Day Weekend (MDW) in Las Vegas competes only with New Year’s Eve as the party destination's most popular event.  With thousands of fun-seekers flocking to the city to celebrate, Travel Agent presents a roundup of MDW events, shows and bars.

The Punk Rock Bowling and Music Festival returns May 24 -27 with more than 70 bands performing at various outdoor venues and late night clubs, including Bad Religion, The Damned, Subhumans, and Flag.


Guests can experience Louisiana culture at the Henderson Pavilion on May 25, during the “Straight from the Bayou Crawfish Festival” featuring southern food, drinks and entertainment, like cajun and zydeco music and signature cocktails concocted by Bourbon Street bartenders.  

The Crazy Horse 3 kicks-off weekend celebrations with a party hosted by VH1 reality TV star Drita D’Avanzo.  The club is offering a free limo ride for guests making reservations for the party ahead of time.

UFC heavyweight champion Cain Valesquez fights Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva on Saturday, May 25, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in a rematch for the UFC heavyweight title.

The Vegas music scene is heavy with world-famous DJs throughout MDW.  Top billers include Tiesto, Calvin Harris and Steve Aoki at Hakkasan, Armin van Buuron and Kaskade at Marquee, and a highly anticipated lineup at all of the Wynn Las Vegas daylife and nightlife venues; Encore Beach Club, Surrender, Tryst and XS, featuring Eric Prydz, Avicci, Steve Angello, and David Guetta.

MDW drink specials abound.  Notably, Señor Frogs at Treasure Island is offering for two-for-one margaritas and half-priced appetizers, plus $3 house tequila shots all day Monday, May 27, and  Rockhouse will offer a $10 “Bottomless Bikini Bar” to ladies in poolside attire from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Monday.
