UNLV and Las Vegas will host a presidential debate on October 19. The debate will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center on the UNLV campus.

"We are excited that Las Vegas has been chosen to host a presidential debate and we look forward to showcasing our destination,” said Rossi Ralenkotter, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). “Las Vegas is the number one convention city in North America for 21 consecutive years because we know how to get business done, and we are confident that our experience and commitment to customer service will make this event a great success.”

The city originally applied to host a debate in March of 2015, and has previously hosted primary debates and presidential speeches.

The Las Vegas Presidential Debate Committee will be made up of major leaders in the Las Vegas community, including leaders from Mandalay Bay, MGM Resorts, The Venetian, McCarran International Airport and more.
