Leon Baum is New General Manager at London's Stafford

Huge news today from The Stafford London by Kempinski: Effective immediately, Leon Baum is taking over the role of General Manager at the hotel where he has worked since 2006. Baum takes over the role from Stuart Procter.

“The General Manager sets the tone for a hotel and so it was important to us to ensure we found a personality that could balance upholding traditions with innovation,” said Duncan O’Rourke, COO of Kempinski Hotels.

A native of the United Kingdom, Baum has more than 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, but his connections to the hotel world go back to his childhood, when he would visit his uncle, who worked at some notable London hotels (think Grosvenor House). His own career began with acceptance to a management trainee program at the exclusive private members club, The Sloane Club in Chelsea, London. He then went on to apply his education at Dukes Hotel before arriving at The Stafford in 2006. Prior to assuming his role as General Manager, Baum served as the hotel’s Resident Manager overseeing all daily hotel operations.
