Lizard Island in Australia Reopens

SnorkelingAfter a year-long renovation, Lizard Island resort, located on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, will be reopening. 

The design inspiration for the 40-room resort (conceptualized by Hecker Guthrie) was drawn from the sea and sky and features updates that include The Villa, a new stand-alone two-bedroom suite outfitted with a kitchen, plunge pool, en-suite bathrooms and large deckm and The Pavillion suite, which has a private gazebo, plunge pool and separate lounge room. Several private plunge pools have also been added to select Sunset Point Villas, and LCD smart televisions will now be included in Anchor Bay Suites and Garden Rooms.

The property's restaurant now has a new dedicated wine room and interactive kitchen, and the Essentia Day Spa now includes a dedicated manicure and pedicure room and uses La Biosthetique products.

During their stay, guests can choose to participate in activities like glass-bottom kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling, or go on fishing expeditions or dive tour to Cod Hole
