Lowcostbeds Hotel Portfolio in the Caribbean Increases

Montego BayLowcostbeds, part of the lowcosttravelgroup, has increased its hotel portfolio in the Caribbean.

Following an increase in demand from the UK, Irish and North American markets, lowcostbeds’ hotel portfolio in the Caribbean is growing faster. By tripling the number of directly contracted hotels in Jamaica, it now has an extensive range of three, four and five star properties offering all board options, throughout the 350 hotels on the island.

In December 2013, lowcostbeds will see the opening of one of its flagship properties in Montego Bay, the four-star Garden Beach Resort, which will be offering all inclusive stays.

Lowcostbeds expects further passenger growth in the Dominican Republic, Aruba, Puerto Rico and Bahamas and therefore has enhanced its adult-only hotels in Barbados. Recent additions include such properties as Couples Barbados and The Club Barbados. Family-focused hotels in Antigua have also been increased with the inclusion of properties such as Jolly Beach, Grand Pineapple, St. James’s Club and the Verandah.

“As we look across our portfolio of 150,000 hotels, the region represents excellent value for money for North American and European customers,” Managing Director for Ireland, USA and Canada, Clem Walshe said. “As such, it is key for us that we triple the amount of hotels we offer our travel agent partners.”
