Luxury Asia specialist Pacific Delight Tours is expanding its newly launched South Pacific offering with vacation packages to Australia and New Zealand.

"Australia and New Zealand are magnificent destinations full of scenic and historical highlights that remain largely untapped by the American tourist market," said Larry Kwan, president of Pacific Delight Tours, in a written release.

Pacific Delight's Australia program includes options for deluxe and five-star hotels in Sydney and Melbourne as well as a three-night itinerary visiting Carins Reef and Kuranda.

In Sydney, visitors will enjoy a city tour, luxury day cruise along Sydney Harbour and visit to the Blue Mountains World Heritage Region where VIPs will have an opportunity to pet a koala, feed the kangaroos and observe an Aboriginal ceremony.

Pacific Delight also includes a guided tour of important historical sites and landmarks in its Melbourne program, while the Cairns Reef and Kuranda itinerary explores natural highlights from the famed Great Barrier Reef to Australia's tropical rainforests, and provides more opportunities to meet koalas, kangaroos and indigenous Aboriginal people.

Pacific Delight Tours offers two options for its eight-night New Zealand Experience – an escorted coach tour from Auckland to Christchurch or a self-drive alternative covering the same itinerary. Pacific Delight is offering an introductory commission rate of 15 percent on New Zealand tours for 2013.

Participants joining the escorted version will enjoy a boat ride through Glowworm Grotto, illuminated by thousands of tiny glow worms suspended from the cave ceiling, followed by a visit to the quaint town of Tirau and journey through the beautiful Fitzgerald Glade.

In both options, vacationers will pass through Rotorua – famous for its use as the setting for the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy – where highlights include the colorful hot springs at Wai-o-tapu and the Lady Know geyser as well as the volcanic valley of Waimangu.

The programs continue alongside the magnificent lakes and mountainous terrain of Queensland through Mount Cook before reaching Christchurch, colloquially known as "The Garden City" due to its fascinating botanical gardens and myriad parks guaranteed to enthrall nature lovers.
