Madrid's Hotel Ritz Has Prado Package

Hotel Ritz is offering a “Cultural Experience in Madrid” package, which includes a visit to the newly expanded Museo del Prado.

The two-night package for two persons starts at about $1,317 in low season and $1,476 in high season (with VAT) and includes entrance to the Prado, Thyssen Bornemisza and Reina Sofía Museums; one three-course dinner in the Goya Restaurant; daily buffet breakfast; afternoon tea and roundtrip airport transfers in a private chauffeured car. Private guided visits to the Prado after hours as well as chauffeured tours of the city can be arranged by the hotel for additional charges.

This past October, The Prado (www.museodelprado.es) debuted its $208 million expansion. From April 15 through July 13, it will mount a major exhibition devoted to Goya to coincide with the 200th anniversary of Spain’s War of Independence against Napoleon. “Goya in Times of War,” will present more than 200 works – paintings, drawings and prints.

Hotel Ritz, a member of Orient-Express Hotels, is located just across the street from the Prado. The “Cultural Experience in Madrid” package is available from now until December 23, 2008. Visit www.ritz.es.
