Magdalena Grand Beach Resort in Tobago has named Howard Spittle as its new general manager. Spittle brings over 20 years of Caribbean hotel industry experience to the resort in his new position, which he started on April 8, 2013.
"We are appreciative to former General Manager Vince Angelo for helping to launch the resort and make it the success it has been since it opened a year ago. We wish him well in all of his future endeavors," said John Murphy, principal, efm Hospitality. "Under the direction of Howard Spittle, we anticipate that the Magdalena Grand will thrive from the management successes he has achieved in guest satisfaction and core hotel operations in his previous positions," he noted.
Recently, Spittle was a consultant with an eco-resort in Port Antonio, Jamaica and prior to that spent seven years with Sandals and Beaches Resorts where he served as general manager of Beaches Boscobel Resort and Golf Club (now Beaches Ocho Rios, Jamaica), Beaches Negril Resort and Spa (Jamaica), and Beaches Sandy Bay (Jamaica).
