Mammoth Mountain is opening the slopes today after a snowstorm recently dropped more than two feet of snow in the Eastern Sierra moutnains.
To celebrate the second-earliest opening day ever for Mammoth, skiers and snowboarders can ride the 16-24 inches of machine groomed natural snow for free.
“We are so excited to start the season nearly four weeks ahead of schedule and to be able to reward our guests with a free day on the slopes,” said Howard Pickett, CEO of Mammoth Mountain.
