Mark Klaschka Named New Vice President and Managing Director of Pleasant Holidays Hawaii

Mark Klaschka, vice president and managing director Pleasant Holidays HawaiiPleasant Holidays has appointed Mark Klaschka as its new vice president and managing director based in Honolulu, Hawaii.

In his new role, Klaschka'a main responsibilities will include the day-to-day management and administration of the Pleasant Activities business in the Hawaiian Islands, as well as for Mexico, Caribbean and Costa Rica activities sold online. Klaschka will work closely with Pleasant Holidays' hotel and activity partners to make sure the Pleasant Activities Centers and Concierges located throughout the four main Hawaiian Islands are optimized to their full potential.

“A native of Hawaii, Mark brings extensive hotel management skills and destination concierge experience to this position,” said Jack E. Richards, president and CEO. “We’re confident he will be a strong asset to Pleasant Holidays’ executive team in growing the Pleasant Activities brand throughout the Hawaiian Islands.”

As the vice president and managing director, Klaschka will be involved in all aspects of the Hawaii business including sales, marketing, pricing, business development, supplier management, strategic planning and operations.

In addition to more than 20 years of experience in the travel industry, Klaschka holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration of Justice from California State University, Fullerton. A longtime resident of Maui, Klaschka and his wife are relocating to Oahu for this new role.

Pleasant Holidays offers Hawaii activities, events, attractions and sightseeing tours online at and through the Pleasant Holidays’ call centers in California and Hawaii. Vacationers may also visit any of the Pleasant Activities Centers located in numerous hotels throughout the Hawaiian Islands.
