A new, independent luxury hotel, The Marker Waterfront Resort, is set to arrive in Key West this October. The 96-room property will be the first new hotel build in Old Town Key West since 1994, hotel officials said in a press release.
The property, which will be built in the style of classic conch architecture, will offer a new dining concept (Cero Bodega), tropical landscaping, multiple swimming pools with poolside cocktail service and on-site parking and waterfront views.
“The Marker tells the story of a modern day Key West with understated hints to ‘Old Florida Luxury,’” said Ann Johnson of Singh Company, the real estate and hospitality developer who helped develop the project. Johnson spearheaded the property’s interior design.
“The vision for The Marker was to create an authentic experience and strong sense of place that celebrates the Key West community and the hotel’s historic waterfront location,” said Johnson.
The Marker will offer four room categories to choose from, ranging between Marina, Pool, Garden and Old Town views, available in both standard king and double queen options. Additional amenities include; complimentary Wi-Fi, soaking tubs, on-site parking and a state-of-the-art fitness center, among others.
Cero Bodega will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and will be exclusive to resort guests.
