Marriott International Continues Expansion in Latin America with Second Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Panama

Marriott International recently announced the opening of its third hotel in Panama, the 120-room Courtyard Panama City MetroMall. This is the second Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Panama, being developed and operated by Real Hotels and Resorts of El Salvador.

“The Courtyard Panama City MetroMall is be a wonderful addition to Marriott International’s continually expanding portfolio of 64 hotels in Latin America and the Caribbean,” said Laurent de Kousemaeker, chief development officer for the Caribbean and Latin American Region for Marriott International, in a written statement. “Panama is an important, gateway market in the region we’re thrilled our partners have chosen to develop yet another Courtyard hotel, to cater to the business traveler looking for high-quality mid-market accommodation.”

The Courtyard by Marriott Panama City MetroMall is adjacent to the newly opened, 130,000-square-meter MetroMall shopping mall in Panama’s capital city, halfway between Panama City’s financial district and the international airport.

With 900 locations in 36 countries, Courtyard has more properties than any other Marriott brand.
