Marriott Opens AC Hotel in Copenhagen

AC Hotels by Marriott made its debut in Denmark last month when the 812-room Bella Sky Hotel reopened as the AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen on December 15, 2014.

Located ten minutes by subway from the Copenhagen city center, the AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen is aimed at both business and leisure travelers.

Guestrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of light and look out over the city. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, including the guestrooms, and on-demand videos can be viewed on large flat screen TVs.

The hotel's aqua spa offers a water-inspired journey from hot and cold pools, rain showers, steam baths and ice fountains followed by heat beds that encourage blood circulation.

Dining options include the Balcony Restaurant serving Nordic classics and grills. For top views, head to the Sky Bar, which serves cocktails and Nordic tapas. The lobby bar serves small plates and snacks.

For meetings and events, the hotel's conference area includes 48 meeting rooms. The hotel also has direct access to Bella Center, Scandinavia’s largest conference center, which can accommodate up to 30,000. There is a free shuttle service to and from the airport and the hotel also has from its own metro stop.

This opening follows major global expansion of the AC brand, with the opening of the first AC by Marriott property in the U.S. — the AC Hotel New Orleans Bourbon — and recent openings in Istanbul and Valencia.
