Martinique Chanté-Noël Event Scheduled in New York


The Martinique Promotion Bureau/CMT USA will hold its second annual Chanté-Noël celebration Saturday, December 11, at the French Institute Alliance Française in New York City.

“We’re quite pleased and proud to provide our friends in New York with the gift of our culture and traditions through this Holiday celebration,” said Muriel Wiltord, director of Americas for the Martinique Promotion Bureau/CMT USA.  “It is our hope that they will be inspired by what they experience at Chanté-Noël to visit Martinique in 2011 and for years to come.”

The event will feature entertainment such as traditional carols and a raffle for twi round-trip American Airlines tickets to Martinique. The centerpiece of the celebration will be the Chanté-Noël menu, which features a smoked caramelized ham, petits pates, yams, West Indian sausage, a spicy pork ragout with congo peas and the Bûche de Noël, or Christmas Log. Drinks will also be available, including shrubb liquer.
