Maui Hotel Adds to Food and Beverage Team

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa has appointed two new members to its food and beverage team. Gordon Chow has assumed the role of restaurant manager of Umalu, while Jonica Reid will be general manager for Hyatt Regency Maui’s new restaurant, Japengo, set to open in mid-December.
 
Jonica Reid will bring almost 22 years of restaurant experience to her role overseeing Japengo. Reid has worked in front-of-house positions with various Maui restaurants including Cane & Taro and Mama’s Fish House, as well as The Chart House in Newport Beach, California.
 
A native of Canada, Gordon Chow brings more than two decades of management experience in hospitality, food and beverage, hotels and airlines to his post at Umalu, Hyatt’s popular poolside dining destination. Most recently a station manager with Hawaiian Airlines in Kahului, Maui, Chow has held director of food and beverage positions with Hilton Garden Inn Roseville, Big League Dream Sports Park LLC, and Vacation Inn Hotel & Suites Palm Desert. His career also includes notable roles with The CheeseSteak Grille, Indian Wells Country Club, Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa, and The Docks Nightclub & Entertainment Complex.
