Maxim Mag's Hotel Debut Pushed Back Another Month

Maxim Bungalows at Cofresi Beach in the Dominican Republic has been delayed yet again. The new opening date for the men's magazine's debut as a hotelier is now scheduled for February 7. The opening had already been rescheduled from October to January 15 before the most recent postponement. "Our team at Maxim Bungalows has been making a series of upgrades to the property, as well as developing a new exciting partnership that will be announced in the new year," Jay Burley, executive vice president of Elliott, a hospitality and real estate company that's one of the partners in the development, told Travel Agent on Wednesday. "We felt it was in the best interest of our guests to hold the opening until February 7 to ensure that we are delivering the highest-quality, luxury product that the Dominican Republic has ever seen."
