Meliá Hotels International has announced that the company's 30th hotel in Germany, the Meliá Frankfurt, will open in early 2019. The company currently has 24 hotels and six in the pipeline in Germany.

Meliá Frankfurt, a four-star hotel, is a new construction project located in the Bockenheim district, next to the Natural History Museum, less than one mile from the central railway station and adjacent to one of the largest trade fair sites in the world. The site is the former campus of the Goethe University, which will be completely transformed during the development of the new hotel.

Meliá Frankfurt will consist of 291 rooms and several dining options; a sky bar; meetings and events facilities; a car park; and a full YHI spa, Meliá’s signature spa brand. The tall building will also house business apartments from the 16th to the 40th floor.
