Movenpick Hotels & Resorts signed an agreement with Kingdom Hotel Investments to manage a five-star resort on Karon Beach in Phuket, Thailand. The 383-room Crowne Plaza Karon Beach will be rebranded the Movenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach Phuket on June 28. The resort will offer 186 villas, each with a sundeck, outdoor shower and plunge pool. An additional 166 deluxe sea view rooms and suites will also be available along with 30 apartments. Guests can experience a combination of Oriental and Western treatments at the Tea Tree Spa, which will house seven spa villas and suites. A club for teens and kids will also feature DVD lounges, Internet station, milkshake bar and various supervised activities.
