NCL Corp. said that the Pride of Aloha will be reflagged and deployed to Asia on May 11, to begin service for Star Cruises. This decision comes on the heels of last week’s decision to withdraw the Pride of Hawaii cruise ship from inter-island operations in Hawaii.
The Pride of Hawaii was renamed the Norwegian Jade for service in the European market. Only one NCL cruise ship remains in Hawaii, the Pride of America. Pacific Business News reports that NCL has said it hopes to bring the Pride of Hawaii back to Hawaii eventually.
