New and Improved: Renovated St. Regis Florence Debuts in September

Come September, there will be even more reason to visit Florence. The St. Regis Florence, by then, will have redebuted following extensive renovation. Formerly the Grand Hotel Florence and designed in 1432 by Filippo Brunelleschi, the hotel will now include bespoke service and luxurious amenities, including St. Regis' signature Butler service and the launch of the Iridium Spa.

Designed by interior design firm HDC, the hotel features 81 guest rooms, in addition to 19 suites, in which the antique décor reflects the artistic culture of Florence and that of an intimate Italian townhouse. Design Note: In order to respect the historical heritage the architects and designers consulted the Brunelleschi's original plans. Guests will also be immersed in the local culture from nearby landmarks such as the Uffizi Gallery and Duomo, and will be able to easily partake in the shopping, for which Florence is renowned.

Note: There are also a variety of cultural events transpiring in 2011 expected to draw crowds to the Tuscan city, including the renowned Italian painter Francesco Clemente’s retrospective at the Uffizi, the unveiling of the GUCCI Museum, as well as the 27th Bienniale Internazionale Antiquariato
