Las Vegas, billed as the entertainment capital of the world, offers year-round performances by the some of the greatest performers of all time, including Celine Dion, Penn & Teller, and the Blue Man Group. However, during the fall a few notable shows will be going on for a limited time only. Here are the most notable of the bunch.

Billy Idol: Forever (Sept 2 - 10; Oct 12 – 22)

The legendary rocker will be putting on two brief shows this fall at the House of Blues, Mandalay Bay. The “White Wedding” and “Rebel Yell” singer will again be donning his leather pants for a flashback to the 80s. This is a show you won't want to miss: Idol says the show "will rock and surprise [his] fans."

Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth (select days, September 8 – October 23)

Returning to the MGM Grand, who played host to seven of his fights, Mike Tyson will be venturing into another form of entertainment – not quite boxing; not quite comedy. While the show will be held at Brad Garrett's Comedy Club, the show is more of an introspective look at Tyson’s rise to fame from his childhood. It’ll include stories about his boxing career and even a few laughs, but the show is really something much deeper.

Ron White (September 9-10, October 21-22)

The cigar-smoking, Scotch-drinking commedian will be performing eight weekends in 2016 with four remaining (the last two are December 2-3, 9-10). The Terry Fator Theatre, Mirage will enjoy White's blue-collar humor, and a VIP ticket will even earn guests the chance to meet "Tater Salad."

Hofbräuhaus Oktoberfest (September 16 - October 31)

It’s not the real thing but it’s pretty close. Las Vegas’ Hofbräuhaus, which is an exact replica of the original in Munich, will be hosting its own Oktoberfest this fall. There’s a list of celebrities who will be given the honor of tapping the keg each day but a short list includes: ventriloquist Terry Fator, Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars, Pussykat Tattoo owner Dirk Vermin, and "Legends In Concert" performer Coty Alexander.

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical (September 20 – October 2)

The musical that tells the story of Carole King, Brooklyn girl-turned songwriter-turned singer. Beautiful will highlight songs written by King and her husband Gerry Goffin, such as “I Feel The Earth Move,” “One Fine Day,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” and “You’ve Got A Friend.” After the show’s conclusion to its Broadway showings, it will head to Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center.

Lionel Richie: All the Hits (September 21-28; October 1-12; December 27-30)

Lionel has actually performed at the Axis Theater, Planet Hollywood for select dates throughout all of 2016, but the shows continue through fall to the end of the year. The four-time Grammy Award winner will be performing all of his greatest hits, including “All Night Long,” “Hello,” and “Dancing on the Ceiling.”

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas (November 22-24, 27)

Concluding the fall season is Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at The Smith Center. The musical is based off the movie of the same name, in which two veterans save their former General’s Vermont hotel with a televised song-and-dance event. Las Vegas will be one of only seven cities to host the show.
