The private Miami retreat and club Turnberry Isle offers a wide variety of family activities this summer, including the Cañas Tennis Camp for kids, co-founded by acclaimed champion tennis player Guillermo Cañas.
The resort is home to nearly four hundred guest rooms, two championship golf-courses, celebrity Chef Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak Restaurant, a three-story spa and fitness center, and a cluster of pools and beaches. Adults may participate in weekly wine and spirit tastings, rent private beach cabanas, and book private tennis lessons from players ranking in the top 10 for doubles and singles.
For kids, the Cañas Tennis Camp will run Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. June 10th through August 12th. Campers will work on their game with full time United States Tennis Association (USTA) and Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certified teachers. Daily, weekly, and two-week sessions are available for ages 4-8 and 8-18. Prices are $120 per day and $395 per week.
The resort also offers the Kids Connection supervised children’s program, ages 4-12, with team building activities, cooperative games, and special classes like Zumba and gymnastics. Prices are $45 for a half day or $65 for a full day.
