New Hotel Soft-Opens in Moscow

The Rezidor Hotel Group, the Brussels-based hotel management company, has soft-opened the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Moscow after an extensive renovation on the former Hotel Ukraina.

The Radisson Blu Royal Moscow has 507 guestrooms and 38 serviced apartments with kitchenettes. Guestrooms average approximately 345 square feet, and suites range from 540 to 2,750 square feet.

Art fans and history buffs will appreciate the hotel's unique art collection of nearly 1,000 original socialist realism paintings, the “official” artistic movement of the Soviet Union for nearly 60 years. Restored murals and ceiling frescoes throughout hotel public areas compliment the collection and retain the feel of the original Hotel Ukraina.

And foodies will appreciate the hotel's four restaurants, one developed by leading Russian restaurateur Arkady Novikov. Cool feature: The hotel will also offer culinary boat trips into the heart of Moscow through a partnership with five river cruise liners, featuring restaurants designed exclusively for the hotel.
