New Spa Opens on Hamilton Island

Spa wumurdaylin (pronounced “woo-mer-day-lin," and meaning "dragonfly") is set to open on Australia’s Hamilton Island, part of the Whitsundays Islands, this week. The new spa will be the island’s first full-service day spa.

With 11 treatment rooms, including three couples suites, the spa's décor was inspired by the natural surrounds of the Whitsunday Islands. Available treatments include body cocoon wraps, exfoliations, facials, massages, body treatments, manicures and pedicures, as well as alternative therapies such as naturopath consultations and reiki treatments.

The spa was designed by Sydney-based interior design company Hare + Klein. A key feature of the design is the use of one-way glass windows that invite the outdoors in. Dragon motif wallpaper and Moroccan inspired light shades add a touch of glamour to the overall design.
