New Tom Bradley International Terminal to Open at LAX

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was joined by Los Angeles World Airports Executive Director Gina Marie Lindsey, Westfield Group Co-Chief Executive Peter Lowy, Architect Curtis Fentress, and others to begin the preview activities for the new Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The South Concourse Aircraft Gate Areas and the 150,000-square foot hall will be available for public viewing on June 22, 2013.

The hall will be known as the Antonio R. Villaraigosa Pavilion, and offer passengers with dining, luxury retail shopping--including 22 local L.A. brands--and amenities. Thirty-one new Westfield dining options includes Fred Segal, Coach, Kitson, Border Grill, Umami Burger, 800 Degrees and Larder at Tavern. Full service spa treatments will also be offered to travelers and tips on how to stay relaxed while waiting at the airport.

“We’re also revealing 18 new gates, nine of which are A3-80 capable for that large, new generation, wide-body aircraft,” Albert Rodriguez of LAX said.

Tickets for the June 22 opening are available at www.laxappreciationday.com.
