Oahu's Kahala Hotel & Resort Appoints New Managers in Leisure Sales

Jacob Keana‘āina 

The Kahala Hotel & Resort has appointed both Jacob Keana‘āina and Beverly Guiang to the positions of travel industry sales manager.

Both will be responsible for overseeing sales for the Oahu resort, with Keana‘āina handling retail agencies and travel agents in Australia and New Zealand, and Guiang handling domestic and international wholesale and corporate accounts in North America.

“Both Jacob and Beverly bring high energy and interpersonal skills to the team, adding a new dimension of service to our clients,” said Roger Bright, The Kahala Hotel & Resort's director of sales, in a written release. “We look forward to the both of them enhancing our sales initiatives and raising awareness for The Kahala in key regions and emerging markets.”  

Beverly Guiang

Keana‘āina joined The Kahala Hotel & Resort as sales coordinator in September 2014 before being promoted to travel industry sales manager.

Prior to joining the resort, he spent five years at the Honolulu division of Hotelbeds USA, a global travel distribution partner of online accommodations and ancillary products, where he held positions of groups and weddings coordinator, yield analyst and contract executive ‐ destination services. 

Prior to joining The Kahala Hotel & Resort, Guiang served as sales manager at Ihilani Resort & Spa, where she joined in 2010 when the resort was under the management of JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts.

Prior to this, she held the positions of store manager and assistant store manager/women’s buyer at Blue Hawaii Surf.
