The Grand Palladium Bávaro Suites Resort & Spa in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic has invested $25 million dollars to 177 new guest rooms. These new rooms are housed across four buildings, three, three-story buildings with 54 rooms each, and one two-story building which include 15 rooms – composed of eight swim-up Junior Suites, six Loft Suites with ocean views and one Presidential Suite.
The new décor creates a warm ambiance suited perfectly for a tropical destination like the Dominican Republic with stylish designs that vary depending upon room category. New bedroom furniture has been handcrafted, combining colonial and modern styles.
Clients will enjoy the new bathrooms that feature a free-standing and luxurious Jacob Delafon sink in Imperial Brown Marble paired and large mirrors. Couples seeking a romantic vacation will enjoy the bathtubs surrounded by marble from which guests can see the rest of the room.
Additionally, the rooms on the top floors feature a covered terrace with a circular Jacuzzi built in a wooden deck reminiscent of a Bali-style resting area, all under a wooden pergola that filters the bright Caribbean sunlight. The two-story Loft Suites are larger, and feature outdoor Jacuzzis on both floors and a Bali-style bed on the roof terrace.
The Resort will also open a new thematic Mexican restaurant with an outdoor terrace, complementing the existing a la carte restaurants and buffets. Additional renovations at the Resort include an updated lobby, featuring a new terrace; renovations to the existing amphi theater; upgrades to La Catedral, the on-site buffet-style restaurant; new terrace and private seating area for the Asian restaurant and new terrace and wine cellar for the Spanish a la carte restaurant.
In addition to the new guest rooms and updates to the lobby, restaurants and theatre in 2013, Palladium invested $10 million dollars in 2012 to renovate guest rooms, pools and its Kids Club, says Cristina Serra, director of marketing for the Palladium Hotel Group.
The last renovation phase of the remaining 168 guest rooms in the complex will be completed by the end of the month, says Serra.
