Paul McManus Appointed President of Baglioni Hotels Advisory Board


Guido Polito and Luca Magni announced today that Paul M. McManus has been appointed President of the Baglioni Hotels Advisory Board on Development & Strategic Positioning. In his new advisory role with Baglioni Hotels, McManus will work alongside Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Luca Magni, on brand related issues and with Vice President of Operations, Guido Polito, on all business developments and acquisitions. McManus will be joined on the board by several other internationally recognized individuals representing the hospitality industry.

The Advisory Board is composed of:
-    President: Paul M. McManus
-    Member: Corinne Ng, Vice President Strategic Partnerships—American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts
-    Member: David Mongeau, Founder—Avington Investment Bank
-    Member: Andy Pesky, Vice President—Protravel International
-    Member: Perry Garfinkel, international Travel Journalist

McManus and the board members will assist the Baglioni ownership in formulating a strategic plan for expanding the brand. Baglioni Hotels is based in Milan and at present has properties in Italy, France and the U.K. Hotels in Budapest, Marrakech, Dubai, Sri Lanka and Mumbai are soon to join the existing portfolio. Baglioni Hotels plan to open 15 new, luxury hotels within the next five years.

Paul M. McManus is Vice Chairman of Leading Ventures, LLC, the business development arm of The Leading Hotels of the World organization. Previously, McManus served as President and C.E.O. of The Leading Hotels of the World, a position he held for the past 10 years. Under McManus' direction, the company launched several joint venture companies and ancillary businesses including Leading Quality Assurance and Leading Residences of the World. Currently, Leading Hotels represents more than 450 luxury hotels, resorts and spas.
