On Sunday night in Delhi, politically-active hotelier Sant Chatwal hosted a dinner for Hillary Clinton during her first trip to India as Secretary of State. Chatwal, owner of Hampshire Hotels and Resorts with properties in New York, Florida, England and Hyderabad, India, is a long-time supporter of Clinton.
Taking a break from her official business, Secretary of State Clinton joined Chatwal at Bukhara in the ITC Maurya, New Delhi. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, Chatwal presented the "Hillary Platter," a menu filled with Indian dishes. One of the reasons for Clinton’s trip was to show support for the Indo-US Civil Nuclear Treaty that Chatwal was heavily involved in getting passed.
