Atout France’s Christian Delom (left), director of strategy, market intelligence and technology, and Jean-Philippe Pérol, director of Americas, invited members of their USA Advisory Board last night to Alain Ducasse’s Benoit Restaurant in New York for a brainstorming session.
In his new worldwide role, Delom is responsible for developing and executing Atout France’s marketing and online strategies. “The United States is my first visit in my new role because we recognize the importance of this market and are committed to supporting the travel industry community here,” he said.
Atout France is working on several key projects, including upgrades to existing online resources and a reclassification of the national hotel grading system (including the development of a fifth star classification).
“We want to communicate the message that France provides a great value vacation to the U.S. traveler not only from the perspective of cost but also in the variety of experiences available to the traveler," Delom said. "From exploring new arrondissements in Paris to extended-stay vacations in Provence, France has never been more accessible."
