Christopher N. Pollock, a 35-year veteran of the hospitality industry, has been named general manager of Pink Sands Resort, located on Harbour Island in the Out Islands of The Bahamas.
The property is undergoing a renovation of its cottages with estate homes planned in the coming months. Pollock will oversee all day-to-day operations of the 20-acre property, which consists of 25 cottages and two estate homes, its culinary offerings and service as well as the extensive re-development project.
“I look forward to showcasing Pink Sands Resort with the commitment to bring it up to a five-star level with highly personalized service and unrivalled attention to detail,” said Pollock in a written release.
Pollock, a well-respected hotel executive in both the Bahamas and South Florida, joins Pink Sands Resort after overseeing two notable properties in the Out Islands, Bimini Big Game Club and Bluff House Beach Resort and Marina.
He served as president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce as well as the same position at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Lodging and Hospitality Association.
