The 28th Smetana Days

A scientific symposium with an accompanying program of music and theatre.

The Smetana Days was established as a scientific symposium in 1980. Gradually a musical and theatre program was added to the symposium program. Thanks to culture season and the time of year (the Pilsen music festival is held in the late winter during the entire month of February) concerts, lectures, exhibitions and film screenings during the Smetana Days are held in Pilsen's concert halls, churches, the cathedral, exhibition halls, a cinema and a conference hall.
