PromPeru’s New Tourism Campaign to Span 16 Countries

The new international promotional campaign presented by PromPeru will mark a milestone in the history of Peru’s publicity, with a movie trailer format that seeks to captivate, excite and attract foreign tourists to choose Peru as a destination for their vacations.

The movie trailer features beautiful and exciting images of Peru that marry the old with the new, capturing the rich history and modern luxury of this country.

After presenting the film, the Minister of Exports and Tourism, José Luis Silva Martinot, told attendees, "Don't watch the movie, live it for real." Peru’s historical and modern offerings are each highlighted in two separate versions of the trailer, spreading the message that this destination has the best of both worlds.

In 2012, the campaign will air in the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

Then, in 2013, the following countries will be included: South Korea, China, Japan, Australia and México. The campaign message will be distributed across a variety of platforms and will be tailored to the wants and needs of a variety of audiences across these diverse destinations. The goal of the campaign is to achieve growth of more than nine percent in tourism toward the end of 2014.
