Puerto Rico's Push at Southeast and Southwestern Markets

Agents should expect business from the Southeast and Southwestern regions of the U.S. to Puerto Rico to increase. With a new sales team to cover those U.S regions, the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau has made it clear that efforts to bolster tourism in those markets have increased.

The Puerto Rico Convention Bureau has announced the expansion of its Miami Regional Sales Office with the aim to implement an aggressive sales strategy that encompasses the Southeast and Southwestern U.S. market. As part of the newly revamped office, the Bureau announced the promotion of Dyhalma Torres to director of sales as well as the appointment of Ronda Wolpert as regional sales manager. Prior to the expansion, the Bureau's regional sales office in Miami focused its efforts in the Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky region. Under the new structure, the office will also tap into the Texas, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah markets. The Bureau can be reached at [email protected] or www.meetpuertorico.com.
