Puerto Vallarta Sees Cruise Ship Arrivals Rise 16 Percent in 2015

Cruise ship arriving in Puerto VallartaThe Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board has announced that 131 cruises will call upon the destination in 2015, a 16 percent increase from 2014, which in turn saw a 43 percent increase in calls over 2013 when 81 cruises called the port.

62 cruises have already made calls in the destination this year, with 20 expected to make calls between June and September during the destination’s low season for cruises. Forty-nine additional cruise calls have been confirmed for the period of October to December 2015.

The four cruise lines that most often visit Puerto Vallarta are Norwegian, Princess, Carnival and Holland America, in that order. As for passengers, Puerto Vallarta is estimated to end the year with the arrival of about 317,210.
